Stay Tuned Eric Cutler Passing Zone Solid Blues Koresh Dance Company

Imani Winds Ethos Percussion Group VocalEssence Little Women Angčle Dubeau and La Pietá

We’re proud to announce our 2007-08 Center Stage Series—creative, quality artists just for you!

The performing arts are interconnected with our lives and with history. Celebrate the 1950-60s culture with Stay Tuned, gospel and blues with the legendary Mavis Staples, and the Civil War era with the incredible music of Little Women.

We invite you to share the joy of several unique shows, including Imani Winds, a multi-faceted dedication to Josephine Baker; Ethos, connecting percussion to healing; or the deeply powerful and vivid choreography of Koresh Dance.

Also appearing on stage this season are Luther alumni Jon Wee, a member of the Passing Zone, and Eric Cutler, tenor. We are honored to have them sharing their gifts here once again.

We extend a special note of appreciation to all of our subscribers and the generosity of our local sponsors—Big Timber, Decorah Bank and Trust, and the Luther Diversity Center. Please tell them how much you appreciate their support of the arts.

Finally, thank you! Our artists remember the engaging and enthusiastic audiences in Decorah. Without your participation, the arts wouldn’t have a voice. You make the beautiful space in the Center for Faith and Life come alive with your enthusiasm and support.

I hope that this year you will find a favorite show, a new experience, or discover an instrument you didn’t know existed. The performing arts are a national treasure, and we hope you’ll treasure your arts series in northeast Iowa. I look forward to sharing this remarkable season with you.

Joyfully,

Tanya M.B. Gertz
